What do you do at 1am?

Actually, don't answer that..it could come down to a case of TMI. Anyway, here is what I do at 1am when procrastination and stress and lots of things on my mind combine to ensue in a touch of insomnia. I stole this from a friend who stole it from a friend who did a longer version of what I'm about to do. It's a list of me! I pretty much heart lists. Seriously. Grocery lists and I are friends. Anyhow, here is my list of 40 things and if you feel the need to do something superfluous to break up your day, I hereby tag YOU. *Here's a slight stipulation: try and come up with something we already don't know about you. Something that the blog-o-sphere doesn't even know. You don't have to get over personal or anything, because, well, people need a little mystery in their lives. Gracias!* 1. When I'm old and have settled into my career, I want to end up in some small coastal town on the Pacific Ocean where I can sit on the beach and watch the sunset while I eat m...

Let it flow

Ya'll should know by now, I am a fan of lists. And tonight, I am not in a regular posting mood. So, for your viewing pleasure, I present you with a list. :) *I took my last final today and let me tell you, it feels pretty damn good to be done with the semester. My summer classes should be easy breezy. *I am SO exponentially happy it is almost summer! Seriously. *Along with my happiness for summer time festivities, I am in need to satiate my jonsin' for camping this summer. *I am hoping my school money comes through soon so that I can move. That would only complete my happiness that the semester is over. *I have a few things on my wish list that may be realized this summer after I get my summer tuition paid for, supplies taken care of and a couple month's rent paid in full. Things to cross off on my list: SLR manual film camera for photo class in the fall & Laptop *And if I have enough money after that, I will be purchasing a pair of Chacos or Birkenstocks and pay for a...

Wii and stuff

My brother got a wii the other day and I played for a while yesterday after work. My arm hurts...I can't believe that wii did that to me! Geez...I must be getting old. Also, as you can tell, I've changed my set up here. I'm not sure what I think about it yet...what do you think? ...that is all. :)

Babbling brookedness

So in about 37 hours I will officially turn 28 years old. I can't believe that I'm actually saying my age out loud. I used to be afraid of getting older. When I was a teenager, turning 25 was scary and I didn't want it to happen. But now, being 25 wasn't so bad. It was actually a pretty enjoyable year. I am, however, very apprehensive of turning 30. That is a number that I was hoping that would have been staved off for a while longer instead of approaching sooner rather than later. Anyhow, I wanted to write this birthday blog now because I'm sure I'll forget to blog on my actual birthday. My family in Idaho is coming down this weekend for my brother and future sister in law's Endowment session. Yeah, my little brother is getting married in a week to a lovely girl. I'm glad that he's finally settling down. Man...I am babbling a lot tonight. Also on my mind: *Money - as per usual. I have to figure out my school and pell grant situation so I can get thi...

something something Algebra something something Biology

*Yeah, there's a song with subjects that you'd study in school, but I can't quite remember the words other than Algebra and Biology. *I filed my FAFSA but I can't remember my password to apply to my Pharmacy Tech program. When did I ever get a password?? I don't remember getting a password...geez. *It stresses me out that I can't apply yet. I have to wait at least 6 more days to apply to the program. Other stresses: money (duh!), application fee (more money stress!! : /), my job (I need a new one which is a whole 'nother stress in and of itself!) and a crying child who would not go to sleep on her own without me holding her. *ETA: She's asleep now. Thank God!* *I can't believe I missed Grey's tonight! Argh! Just when I was all caught up, basically, I totally spaced that it was on tonight. Considering I haven't watched tv in a very long time, I forget that its actually there and that I can watch at my own viewing pleasure. Geez... *My weight i...

I only want to be with you, baby, and nobody else...

I'm sitting at work listening to my Los Lonely Boys CD. They sing in Spanish and, of course, English. I like it a lot. ..."'Cause i only want to be with you. The only girl i see is you, baby and nobody else!." Anyhow, my appendages are cold. The ac is on too high and I'm not completely sure if I have control of the temperature. I haven't found the thermostat yet. No one has come in today and I have a bajillion phones to take inventory of. I should probably work on that. My attention span isn't cooperating today. I think it's because I'm so cold. The cold is making my shoulder ache. Maybe it's because I slept on it wrong last night. Speaking of sleep. I haven't gotten used to the fact that I have to open the store at 9am. I know it's been less than a month since I quit the gas station at which I had to be there at 9am everyday; but still. I've gotten used to staying up late - as in 2 or 3am - and not having to wake up till 10 or 11am...

You might need time...

It's the middle of August and I'm looking forward to the downward spiral of the end of the year activities. School. Labor Day. House Dance Party with new roommates. Veterans Day. Voting on Election Day. The official day of Fall. Halloween. Thanksgiving. Christmas. Kwanzaa. Boxing Day. New Year's. I'm telling you: I'm excited! I love holidays. So maybe I don't celebrate Kwanzaa or Boxing Day, but I know people who do and they often give me presents just for the sheer fact that it's a holiday. The closer I get to the family centered holidays, the more excitement that builds up and eventually bubbles over. I'm a big fan of holidays.

20 things about me

1.) I actually don't mind going to the dentist. 2.) I never wanted to live in Utah for more than a year...Hello year 5! 3.) I am jealous of my sister but we haven't been as close as we are now. I love her and can't picture my life without her. 4.) I hate Utah drivers. On the freeway, people in the middle lane are always trying to get off. People in the fast lane are going slow and people in the slow lane are going at break neck speeds because of the idiots in the other 2 lanes. Psh ...they're all idiots. 5.) I love buying new shoes but I hate the actual act of shopping. Something about hordes of idiot shoppers and clueless employees turns me off to the whole idea of "retail therapy". Go figure... 6.) I hated the years proceeding my mothers death. People thought they had to walk on egg shells around me, my family situation was hell, and I didn't want to deal with any of it. So more often than not, I ran away from it all and found myself either in L.A. or on...
