I can do hard things

School has started. I love that on the first day of class it smells of freshly mowed grass and that the buildings smell clean. The Woodbury has gotten its face-lift and parts of campus have gotten a little lift as well. I think it's weird that the incoming freshmen, the ones right out of high school, are so small. I don't know...like whenever you drive past the MTC and the missionaries are, they all look small. Anyhow, I've gone to all my classes and my professors, I think, will all be pretty cool. Although, I'm not terribly excited about my math class. I already missed the second day of class. I had one of those mornings where you intend to wake up and get to class on time, but totally turned off my alarm clock unconsciously turned off my alarm clock. Well, I guess I'd have to be a quarter lucid to reach over and turn it off, but I have absolutely no recollection of ever moving my arm to do so. Let me tell you, it's been a long week of not getting enough sleep

School is fo' fools

My first class starts in a few minutes.  I'm getting little butterflies in my tummy. I don't know if it's because I'm excited (which I am...a little anyway), apprehensive (which, again, I am), or just  sheer unpreparedness fluttering about my stomach.  I don't know. I guess I'll go find out!

Weird

It's weird to me that I've only posted 23 posts this year and that the year is more than half done. Summer is coming to a close, which I'm a little melancholy about by the way, and fall is slowly coming upon us. I love the fall. I dare say, I love it a tad more than the summer. Summer = snow cones, flip flops, coconut scented tanning oil, bbq's and everything loud and boisterous.  Fall = warm sweaters and long sleeved shirts that I bought the beginning of the summer for a quarter at  Old Navy, cute socks, quiet, chilly autumn evenings and bon fires, pumpkins, Halloween and Thanksgiving.  I love the fall. I love that it isn't going to be hot. Although, we've had a pretty mild summer compared to everywhere else in the world. Anyway...I digress.  I'm ready for school to start. Although, I'm going to miss sleeping in and not having to do homework. But really? I ready to have something to do aside from going to work and hating the fact that my job is pre

Really really...

I'd really like to post an entry right now, but as I'm sitting here at school looking out on of the massive windows on the 4th floor of the Losee Center - one of the only places I can get away with a little peace and quiet and a get away from the few too many tee-ha ha's hanging around - a massive lightening storm is brewing just on the other side of the lake. *Wow...that was a long sentence.* Anyway, my choice of summer wardrobe consists of flip flops, shorts and a white t-shirt. Yes...a white t-shirt. My favorite choice of clothing for the summer. As much as I love rain, my love mostly encompasses summer storms, it does not bode well for that I am wearing a white t-shirt if it starts raining on my way home. But seriously, what the heck is up with this crazy weather? I mean, I love it and all, but I'd like to at least make it more than halfway home to take a walk home in the loveliness that is a summer storm rather than sit on a bus with a bunch of rain soaked passenge
