An Expression of Love

I love lists. To do lists make me feel like I'm accomplishing even the most mundane thing to even the more important life milestones. I love lists of books that friends recommend to me. I love lists that come in form of travel itineraries because that means I'm going somewhere and doing something that I love. I love lists of blogs that I read for inspiration, to keep up to date with friends and family members. My list today will be of [enter any noun you want here] I love and why. Be ready. 1. My sister. She is one of the loveliest people I know. She's boisterous, crazy, courageous, non-judgmental and deeply loyal to the people she loves. Especially her friends. She knows what she wants in life and goes after it. And I love her. 2. My friends. There are few people that I can actually call friend. Most people in my life are merely acquaintances. You know, like the dinner friends or the game night friends. The people I can call my friends are the ones that, even if a month or

What to do at 2am...

I know I should be sleeping right now, but when you have a lot on your mind, sleep sometimes goes by the wayside. Tomorrow - well, later today - I'll be venturing into Downtown Ogden to look for a job. I really should just go to the LDS Employment Center, but I have no clue where it is. Okay, that's a lie, I did go to DI Tuesday night. I didn't bother to look around to see if there was an employment center there; they probably have one. I'm going to take my chances on the bus though. I'm really hoping my UVU student i.d. card/bus pass works up here. I haven't checked if Weber State has a similar bus pass/student i.d. card combo yet. I don't really need either of them right now seeing as my bus pass from UVU is valid till the middle of September. I'll just cross my fingers and bring cash fare just in case. Here's what is on my plate for tomorrow: *Eat breakfast *Shower *Dig through my stuff to find my dress pants and a not so wrinkled shirt. ...hop

New Year, new goals

This is a day late, but oh well. I've had a pretty busy weekend and am just about ready to fall asleep. Sign of old age? Perhaps. Anyhow, I am declaring this year the Year of Expression. I'm mostly going to focus on expressing gratitude and artistic expression. I'm going to be cooking a lot more and buying a digital slr camera and, hopefully, I'll learn how to knit this year. Sewing skills will be refined. So, family members, be prepared to receive crafty, artsy fartsy gifts for Christmas and birthdays. Every time I think of the word expression, I think of Madonna's song, "....express yourself." Maybe that should be my theme song this year? idk . I'll be refining my thought process on this when I'm not so sleepy. But be prepared for more photos!
