So, Lent is going pretty well. Except for today. I procrastinated getting out of bed this morning and completely slept through my classes. I still need a little more work on the whole soda thing...what can I say? I'm a work in progress.
I went to see Dr. Springer yesterday for my semi-annual diabetes check. I've always known that I'm a good weight maintainer and my appointment only confirmed that. So I need to get back on the exercise bandwagon and lose some more. I'd like to lose at least 80 lbs by the end of the summer. I think that'd be the ideal. I've sort of started my new "diet" today. I had cashews and yogurt this morning for breakfast. I just need to catch up on my water consumption and take my prenatal vitamin. Oh yeah...I'm taking prenatal vitamins. Mostly to make my hair grow a bit thicker. When I asked Dr. Springer if it was okay that I was taking them she said that the other medication I'm taking for my diabetes kind of depletes my B12 levels so it's a good thing that I'm taking them.
I also got my H1N1 vaccine yesterday at my appointment. When I woke up this morning, it felt like someone punched me nice and hard in the arm. It hurts. I also got 2 vials of blood drawn to check my A1c levels as well as bunch of things to see if the medication I'm taking is helping me fight the diabetes. I have a nice bruise forming where they stuck me. It still hurts. I also had to pee in a cup to check my liver and kidney functions. That part always makes me gag for some reason. I just think it's gross.
Oh! I do have some exciting news (not that peeing in a cup isn't exciting enough). One of my best friends moved back home on Wednesday from Pennsylvania! I'm excited to have her home and so much closer.
Other than that, I've been flying under the radar. Not a lot has been happening. Although, I am so excited for Spring to arrive. I am so done with the cold and wet. It's infinitely depressing to be cold and wet all the time.
Anyhow, I'm gonna go outside and enjoy the sun while it's still out.
