Hives and BBQ's

So, this morning as I was trying to store up the few of hours of sleep I had left before work this morning, I realized, about two hours into my "nap", my stomach was crazy itchy. Kind of like a million ants had climbed into my room in the wee hours of the morning, chomped on my abdomen and left. Naturally, I start itching and itching while I was intermittently trying to just sleep as much I could. I sleep for another hour and my legs, my arms and my chest start itching. So dear readers, if I don't make any sense today, it's because I am going on 3 hours of sleep trying to recover from the mystery hives while bbq-ing at my brother's for Pioneer Day. Ugh...what a day it has been so far. I've worked 6 days this week just to make up for the lack of hours I've worked in the past 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be short on my rent for August. Hopefully, I'll come out with enough money. idk. I suppose I just need a new job where they aren'...

For the Love...

So, I think I have the best roommates ever. I've had very few unlovable roommates in the past, for which I am grateful. I am thankful that I have been blessed with wonderful roommates. I've been able to talk with them, share laughs with them, talk about boys with them....all in all, we've been having a fabulous summer together. Tonight, my roommate Alicia and I went to go play tennis with a few people from the ward. We have little "clubs" that meet once a week just to have the chance to hang out and get to know each other outside of church and FHE . Today is Cardio Club Treat Thursdays. Wednesdays are Game Nights. Tuesdays are kind of unofficial. Tuesdays are usually Temple Tennis Treat Tuesday but I don't know how many people know about that one. Anyway, tonight, as per usual, we played tennis. We love tennis in our ward...and soccer. The boys love dodge ball, but the girls stopped playing with the boys ever since Kara got knocked unconscious. Anyhow, I digr...

I guess...

So, apparently, I haven't updated my blog in 5 weeks or so. That's how long I've been not living at my brother's house. 5 whole weeks...for some reason it seems a lot longer than that. Anyhow, I'm not in a huge mood for updating, so I'll hit the highlights a la list de Joyce. *There was a Polish girl staying at my house for almost a month. The novelty ran out after she was making no effort to go back to Poland even though her visa had run out and she was technically illegal. I don't really know how to explain what she is like. She definitely was one of those people who was using us to make her life easier while making our - my roommates and mine - lives harder. You'd expect someone to put forth extra effort to make up for the fact that you can't work in the country legally by cleaning the house, maybe even mowing the lawn once or twice. I mean, it's not like we were making her pay rent or for anything. idk. If someone is unable to work and has no...

What do you do at 1am?

Actually, don't answer that..it could come down to a case of TMI. Anyway, here is what I do at 1am when procrastination and stress and lots of things on my mind combine to ensue in a touch of insomnia. I stole this from a friend who stole it from a friend who did a longer version of what I'm about to do. It's a list of me! I pretty much heart lists. Seriously. Grocery lists and I are friends. Anyhow, here is my list of 40 things and if you feel the need to do something superfluous to break up your day, I hereby tag YOU. *Here's a slight stipulation: try and come up with something we already don't know about you. Something that the blog-o-sphere doesn't even know. You don't have to get over personal or anything, because, well, people need a little mystery in their lives. Gracias!* 1. When I'm old and have settled into my career, I want to end up in some small coastal town on the Pacific Ocean where I can sit on the beach and watch the sunset while I eat m...

Let it flow

Ya'll should know by now, I am a fan of lists. And tonight, I am not in a regular posting mood. So, for your viewing pleasure, I present you with a list. :) *I took my last final today and let me tell you, it feels pretty damn good to be done with the semester. My summer classes should be easy breezy. *I am SO exponentially happy it is almost summer! Seriously. *Along with my happiness for summer time festivities, I am in need to satiate my jonsin' for camping this summer. *I am hoping my school money comes through soon so that I can move. That would only complete my happiness that the semester is over. *I have a few things on my wish list that may be realized this summer after I get my summer tuition paid for, supplies taken care of and a couple month's rent paid in full. Things to cross off on my list: SLR manual film camera for photo class in the fall & Laptop *And if I have enough money after that, I will be purchasing a pair of Chacos or Birkenstocks and pay for a...

Birthday Post

I'm tired and I'm feeling rather sorry for myself. I turned 29 today. Ten years ago, 29 was so obscenely ancient and now that I've actually turned 29 today...I want time to stop. Not so much need it to stop to enjoy more of the years gone by, I just don't want to get any older. Let me tell you, 29 is a depressing age. It is today anyway. Anyhow, my entire immediate family was here today for my nephew's baby blessing. It just so happened to be my birthday as well. I wasn't expecting some big hoopla or anything remotely close to some sort of huge celebration, because like I said, 29 is a depressing age. We had food. We took family pictures. We had an all around loud time with the kids running around like crazy people. That's about it. I got 2 birthday gifts, well 3 if you count all the music I downloaded on to my iPod from my sister's laptop. I didn't really need anything. Although, money to move out would have been nice, I just didn't really need ...

Hungry Little Caterpillar

Dang it...there was a thread of hope that class would get out 20 minutes early. While the option of not having to come to class one day because of completing a lesson early is really appealing right now, I am hungry enough that I can't pay attention. Well, I haven't really been paying attention all semester. Obviously, since I'm writing this post in class. I guess missing 2 classes has put me behind....oh well. Anyhow, I've been wanting to work at a summer camp or day camp so I can say that I did something exciting with my summer. Plus, summer camps usually pay pretty good money. APRIL 06, 2010 Apparently, I forgot about this unfinished post that I started 5 days ago. My affinity for anything blog like has waned the past couple days. That can be explained away with a few simple explanations that I do not care to explain or even divulge. Ever. Anyway, I left off with wanting to work at a summer or day camp this summer. I found a pretty good day camp down in Provo workin...
