I always have to steal my kisses from you...

My nose is stuffy. I'm achey. My sinuses are generally unhappy. My throat is itchy and red and my ears are doing weird things. Ugh...I hate getting sick. I usually only get sick once a year, knock on wood. Funny thing is I was sick around the same time last year except my cold was far worse. I'm hoping that this cold doesn't turn into anything nasty. Like strep throat or an ear infection. I'd take an ear infection over strep throat any day, but I'd still have to go to the doctor and take antibiotics. Both of which I do not want to have to pay for. My head feels like its floating... Anyway, other than being sick, I have nothing to really update. Lani, Laura and I went FHE last week to carve pumpkins. They lasted nearly a whole week until the stupid neighbor kids smashed them. They had the gull to smash them while I was home! I hate trouble-making kids. They have a parole officer each and I'm pretty sure their lesbian mothers aren't setting an example for them...

We're going to the chapel of loooove...

So my friend Erin asked me to help her plan her wedding. I'm mostly going to be in charge of decorating the cultural hall for her Provo reception. So far I know that she wants a sunflower bouquet and centerpieces. I guess she mostly wants the sunflower yellow to be an accent with a winter-y blue as the main color. I have no clue what she really wants because lets face it, she doesn't really care about having the reception. She has the man, the ring and she's getting married in the temple. I was thinking about this whole planning business on Saturday while I lay in bed waiting for sleep to over-take me. Erin is getting married in the middle of January. Sunflowers, by nature, are a summer flower. Where am I to get real sunflowers for a bridal bouquet in the middle of January? I'm probably going to have a hard time finding fresh sunflowers but I figure I can take creative license with the fake sunflowers for the centerpieces. I just have to worry about getting a couple, me...

Where you lead, I will follow. Anywhere...

So, the store closed 20 minutes ago. Its dark inside except for the Cricket sign in the window and a girl comes into the store asking if we're open. Hm. Now let me think. Its dark inside. What business operates without their lights on? Granted, I probably should have locked the door from the inside, but I'm weird and like getting out of here fast once I've set the alarm. Anyway, its almost time for me to catch the bus to go home. Hopefully I won't have to make an appearance tomorrow granted my brother hasn't worked in TWO freaking days. *sigh* One can hope, right?

Lovely bones

I'm listening to one of my roommate's sleep cds. She listens to it when shes in bed trying to, well, go to sleep. I feel completely relaxed right now. Anyway, today was a good day. Went to church. Felt the spirit during sacrament. Got released from being Relief Society pianist which is probably the greatest thing ever right now. I know who they're calling to replace me and apparently she really needs to be needed right now. She broke up with her boyfriend a month ago (?) and I guess its been hard on her. I don't know...but still. I'm down to one calling and feels lovely to be back to normal. People were actually social today at church. Except Blake. I didn't get to talk to him today. He's a different story though. Lynne actually came and sat with Laura and I at Break the Fast after the block. Of course, she had 2 of her "clique" friends with her, but still. I was pleasantly surprised. A friend from back home moved into the ward a couple weeks ago. ...

A little random quiz

NBPC - The Daydreamer Nature, Background, Big Picture, and Color You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on the hidden treasures of life (the background) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the colors around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to ponder ideas and imagine the many possibilities of your life without worrying about the details or specifics. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You are a down-to-earth person who enjoys going with the flow.
